WeBOC - Customs Clearance Automation - Project Lead

Web-based customs clearance system that provides real-time integration of agents, brokers, terminal operators, cargo handlers, and customs officials for the clearance of trade consignments and collection of duties/allied taxes. It will be implemented across Pakistan at all customs stations including sea, air, and dry ports. Will ultimately process and manage the collection of 45% of Pakistan's total tax revenue, connect 30,000 trade-related stakeholders, and reduce customs clearance from an average of 5-10 days to 2hrs-24hrs.
Pakistan Customs - Data Mart

Developed the Pakistan Customs Data Mart using Microsoft Integration and Analysis Services tools.
- Data from the Automated Imports Processing System is refreshed periodically to reflect changes that have occurred in the source systems. The refreshed data is transformed into a multi-dimensional OLAP CUBE, which is used by the Customs employees to perform statistical and trend analysis on the transactions processed up to the previous day-end. The CUBE is accessed by various reporting tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Sharepoint, third-party reporting tools, etc.
- The ETL is developed using the Microsoft Business Intelligence Studio Integration Services Project, and the OLAP Multidimensional CUBE is developed using the Analysis Services Project.
EDI Messaging - Pakistan Customs -> Air/Sea/Dry Port Terminals

Developed an EDI Messaging System to manage the communication of Customs workflow processes between the Container Terminal and Customs Application systems.
- Currently deployed at Al-Hamd Container Terminal And TCS.
- The core listener module is developed in Microsoft technologies, C#/.NET, and SQL Server, which manages the files upload/download from the FTP servers. The system is flexible, scalable, and generic to manage interfaces to Container Terminal Operators using diversified technology platforms.
- Developed as a product, the system can be up and running in a matter of a few days, with minor customizations to set-up the message elements mapping and database-specific connection strings.
